Why does anaerobic digestion need a specialist risk engineer?

Anaerobic digestion plants link digestion, gas upgrading, CHP and grid injection into one process. A conventional inspection confirms whether each item is compliant. It doesn't always trace how one fault cascades into lost gas production, a long outage and a claim. A specialist engineer assesses the plant as a connected process, not a list of items.

How does Technical Services fit with the rest of BIOCON Group?

Technical Services delivers the INSPECT and VERIFY stages of BIOCON Group's five-step engagement model. It sits between BioConsult, which reviews risk and compliance, and BioContractors, which carries out repair and upgrade, so the Group can cover the whole engineering response.

    O&M and performance. BioConstruct NewEnergy takes on ongoing operation and maintenance, so the improvements identified stay in place over the life of the asset.

  • Yes. When a loss occurs, a loss adjuster can instruct BIOCON directly for the engineering opinion the claim needs, covering causation, repair scope and BI-relevant outage and recovery timescales. Coverage, liability and quantum stay with the adjuster and the appointed forensic accountant. Our findings support that process and don't replace it.

  • We cover anaerobic digestion, biogas, biomethane and waste assets, plus wider renewable-energy infrastructure, for insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and asset owners.
