World Biogas Expo 2025: A Powerful Showcase for Innovation and Collaboration in AD and Biogas
BIOCON Group was proud to attend the World Biogas Expo 2025, held at the NEC Birmingham — the largest international trade show dedicated to the anaerobic digestion and biogas industry.
This year’s event brought together a global community of innovators, plant operators, policymakers, and technology providers, all working towards a more sustainable, circular, and net-zero future. From engaging talks on sector growth and funding opportunities to hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge AD technologies, the event delivered on all fronts.
A Valuable Opportunity to Connect
The Expo provided a fantastic platform for our team to engage with existing clients, meet new industry partners, and explore the latest developments across the full AD lifecycle. Whether discussing plant optimisation, regulatory support, or new build installations, it was clear that collaboration continues to be at the heart of progress in this sector.
“There’s a real energy behind the AD and biogas industry right now. The Expo showed just how much potential there is for innovation, and how much demand there is for trusted, technically capable partners.”
Darren Smith | Operations Manager
Representing the Full BIOCON Group Offering
Throughout the event, the BIOCON Group team was on hand to share insights across all arms of the business:
BioContractors – providing specialist operational support, plant maintenance and call-out services
BioConsult – offering expert consultancy around compliance, process optimisation, and planning
BioConstruct NewEnergy – delivering turnkey solutions and advanced technology for AD plant development
With representatives from each part of the business, we were able to demonstrate the depth of our in-house expertise and how we support projects from concept through to operation — and beyond.
Looking Ahead
The World Biogas Expo 2025 reaffirmed the critical role that anaerobic digestion plays in achieving national and international decarbonisation goals. As regulations tighten and expectations grow, the need for reliable, future-ready partners like BIOCON Group has never been greater.
We’d like to thank the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and World Biogas Association for delivering a high-quality, future-focused event once again. We look forward to next year and continuing to drive forward the conversation on sustainability and innovation in biogas.
